You will use the following commands:
recipe smithing
recipe smithing [name]
smith [tool/component] [tool/component] [component] [component] etc

For Skill 1 to 10

  • Go to the Smith shop and buy a double-faced sledge hammer and a cold chisel
  • Find or buy an anvil and forge
  • Go to the Ore merchant and buy 20 small ore (500g each)
  • Convert two small ore to one medium ore: smith hammer 1.ore 2.ore
  • Convert one medium ore back to two small ore: smith hammer chisel medium
  • Repeat until skill is 10 (and all ore is small ore)
  • Convert all your ore to iron bits (can be done before skill is 10): smith hammer chisel ore

For skill 10 to 40

  • Go to the Smith shop and buy a ball peen hammer and a bolster plate
  • Time to make rivets01: smith ball plate bits
  • Repeat until you are at 40

Now you can repair gear without wasting a practice!!!

Smith the ores until you can craft rivets
Rivets requires: ore bits, bolster plate (buy from the smith) , ball peen hammer (buy from the smith)

Craft those until you can craft throwing knives
Throwing knives: ore bits, throwing knife mold (buy them from the smith's apprentice in Freiburg), smithing ladle (buy from the smith)

Craft those until you can craft mandrels
Mandrel: small block of ore, metal handle, special long-reach hammer, top and bottom swage
