In religious or mythological cosmology, the seven heavens refer to the seven divisions of the Heavens: The abode of immortal beings, or the visible sky, including the expanse containing the Sun, Moon, and stars. This concept dates back to ancient Mesopotamian mythologies and can later be found in the Abrahamic religions such as Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. The Seven Heavens is a new area in Ancient and can be approached by solo characters for levels 45+. Some encounters and quests in the area, however, will require a small group to complete.
The Seven Heavens has a similar gameplay to that of Inferno and Medieval Japan in a sense that it is an area heavily based on completing quests to gain progress and discover & explore its secrets.
New Code Feature: Factions.
Factions have the potential to allow you to gain reputation with different groups (hah, you know, factions, go figure) throughout the Mud. Based on your Faction Level NPCs and Quests might behave differently and open more content thank what you would have access to before. Use the 'FACTIONS' command to see where you stand within the different factions in-game. You can raise your faction level by either completing certain quests or killing certain NPCs. Seven Heaven is located in Ancient Sumer.
Seven Heavens can be dangerous as there are plenty of aggresive mobs that wander within their designated area. It is highly recommended that you bring friends on your first venture. If need be, you can always recall out if you are stuck or need to leave.
