The purpose of this guide is to outline the best possible routes for retrieving gold through any means.

Notes:

The value of items are different depending on where you sell them. The values you see here are from selling items to Parpignol in Paris.
Try to keep items grouped by location.
Only add items or mobs that have more than 1,000 gold.

Ancient

Roman Britain
  • Kill the Tribune in the fort for 1,517 gold, get key corpse, get gladius corpse. A gladius with a jeweled pommel is worth 5k. Use the key to unlock the room on the west side of the fort, a painting of Augustus there is worth 5k.
  • In Pict land there is "A secret chamber" east of a tomb, kill the low level shade and pick up a pile of gold ornaments and an amber-decorated armband worth about 3k each.
  • Kill the hidden shade (S,W,N) from Pict gern-y-fhain, a bone necklace is worth around 3k.
  • Kill Pict gern-y-fhain, a shining blue carbuncle is worth around 3k.
  • Kill Ri Eoghan maqq Caibre, a silver crown is worth 6k.
Carthage
  • Kill Admiral Hanno, 1k in his corpse, a rune-engraved cedar quarterstaff is a tad heavy to lug around so you can sell it at the Inn for 3k.
Greece
  • Menelaus has 5k on him and his star sword is worth 5k. Note: you can throw or shoot him out of the room so his guards don't assist.
