####What Exactly Are Eras?

Excellent question! The world of LegendMUD is divided into three general time periods: Ancient, Medieval
and Industrial. The only way to travel between each era is through the completion of simple quests that can
be completed at any level.

There are several different quests in each era that will always transfer you to the same spot. One quest may
take you between Ancient and Medival, another quest may take you from Ancient to Industrial, etc.


####How do I Travel Between Eras

Traveling between eras requires the completion of simple quests. You can try exploring for yourself, or you can
see all the currently known trans quests here.

But to get you started, here are three examples of some of the more commonly used trans quests (keep in mind there are a lot
of other ones you can use!):
#####Ancient to Medieval

One of the simplest quests from Ancient to Medieval is between Roman Britain and Medieval Britain.

  1. First, you must find one of the five trees around Roman Britain. They look like this:


    Towering dark trees block the view in most directions.

    • Once you find the tree, LOOK IN TREE

    • If the tree is empty, simply find another tree and try again.

    • To get the leaves from the tree type GET LEAVES TREE

The leaves are timed, and will "poof" if you wait too long. If they do disappear on you,
simply go back and find another tree.
They do repop fairly quickly so at most you may have to wait a few minutes.


2. Next, you must take the leaves to the druid on the Isle of Man. Geography on
Legend roughly follows that of the real world. So, you will find the Isle of Man west
and slightly north of Roman Britain. The druid you are looking for will react to you
when you enter and will look like this:

3. Once you have found the druid, simply hand him the leaves by typing GIVE LEAVES DRUID.
If it took you a while to find him, and the leaves have disappeared, you will have to go back
to a tree and get some more.


* When you have successfully given the druid the leaves, he will transfer you to Medieval Britain.

4. Wake and STAND up, and go about exploring medieval!

#####Medieval to Industrial

So you've explored Medieval and you're ready to go find out what Industrial has to offer.

  1. To transfer from Medieval Britain to Industrial London Port, first, you must find Sutton Hoo.
    It is located near the inn, The Royal Stag.

    • Simply go a little south of the inn, and follow the path to the east and north.

  2. Once you've found Sutton Hoo, pick up one of the rivets by typing GET RIVET
    If there are no rivets there, it is likely several people have used the trans recently.
    If you wait a few minutes, more rivets will spawn and you can continue on your way.

  3. Now you must take the rivet to the smith in Lincolnshire. To get there, go back to
    the King's Road and follow it north.

    • The Smithy, is located north of the Lincolnshire Town Center.

    • Type GIVE RIVET SMITH to give the rivet to the smith.

  4. It is time to retrace your steps and go back to Sutton Hoo

    • This time, when you enter the room, it will automatically transfer you to a new room.

    • It is now time to OPEN HOLE.

  5. All that is left to do is to wake and STAND up and go explore Industrial!

#####Industrial to Ancient

Congratulations! You've now been in all three eras! But, what if you want to travel
between them? Keep in mind that there are several options for traveling between
eras. You don't have to go from Industrial to Ancient, there are trans quests that
lead you from Industrial to Medieval for example. However, this quest back to
Ancient will give you a nice circuit so that you can get to any era you want, while
you explore, even if it may not be the most direct route.

To get from Industrial WWII North Africa to Ancient Arabian Nights (aka Agrabah):

  1. The easiest way to start this quest is to find the shopkeeper, Fuzar in The Center of Algiers.
    (You can try to HUNT FUZAR to help you find him). Algiers is located in an
    easterly direction from Casablanca, which is near the Straits of Gibralter.

  2. From Fuzar, you must find an old man. He is a little bit south of Fuzar in Tebessa.

    • It will look like this:

  3. When you find the old man, ask him assist by typing ASK OLD ASSIST

    • Make sure that the old man gives you the medallion. If you are carrying too much weight,
      he will not actually give it to you.

  4. Once you have the medallion, you must go to An Oasis

    • The oasis is located in a generally south-east direction from Tebessa.

  5. At the oasis, as it recommends, SAY RAZEN

  6. All that is left is to wake and STAND up, and continue on your travels in the Ancient era!
