Starting the Quest

Head to The Docks of New Orleans (along the Mississippi River)
From there, head n2w2n2en
Open w (the door to Marie Laveau's House) and go in
ask Marie voodoo
you get a journal entry (The Voodoo Queen)

Learn Voodoo principles from Marie Laveau

ask Marie principles
She will list several topics in CAPS. Ask about each one
Pay attention, as she will not repeat them when asked again
you may have to ask her something else to move on, just listen to what she says

Find gris-gris parts and bring them to Marie

she will then ask you to acquire parts for a gris-gris
she will ask you for the following items

• pillowcase (buy from vendor in the Natchez village near the Ohio river)
• black cross (en3wn3 from marie, ask priest cross)
• gumbo spices (vendor in town, nese of the docks, buy spices)
• snake head - kill and loot a cottonmouth snake in bayou (bayou is 2ws2ws of the docks. watch out for mean alligators and snakes as they hit hard for lower levels characters)

return with the parts and give her each one at a time
she'll give you a gris-gris (AUX item)

Visit the ancient altars in Louisiana

wear gris-gris and head to altars
the altars are (with directions from Docks)

• Bayou altar (2ws2wses2e3s, lots of agg alligators and snakes in the way)
• Plantation altar (2ws3w2n2w2ne2n, open n, prepare to fight some hidden snakes in the altar room)

resting at each altar will spawn a loah you need to defeat
There are several different loah and each has a special attack

• loah of magic... uses magic?
• loah of death can slay you, so rent set nearby
• loah of snakes calls Damballah Snakes into the fight

Locate the elusive Papa Shapo

return to marie once the loah at each altar is defeated
ask marie papa
she'll direct you to Old Ezekiel (he's the old slave 2se from the plantation altar)
ask Ezekiel Damballah
he gives you a pouch
Head to New Orleans cemetary (n2w2n2wn3wd from docks)
look for a brazier in the cemetary
put pouch brazier
ask Papa Damballah
also

• ask Papa Mrti (if looking to learn Death word)
• you can kill him for his cool hat without consequences

Find Damballah, the white serpent loah

go to marie
ask marie ceremony
go back to Ezekiel
ask Ezekiel orb of snakes
He says it was lost in the Mississippi
???
I'm unsure past this point. as I haven't been able to locate the orb
Ezekiel suggests a Natchez net with a cackle, but can't seem to fish with said net
Fishing with fishing net so far yields nothing
