Solo MSND: go to "The Courtyard" and type "watch the play" Instance is 1 hr 30 min

Unknowns, [others please update]:

  • Quest from playwright at the theatre to get the Lanthorn light:
*The quest begins with the mechanicals/tradesmen. Ask the carpenter about the play. He asks you to play a part in the play which you can choose. Then you go to the theatre at the right time and recite the lines you are given. If you choose Moonshine you can get the Lanthorn. If you choose the Lion you will get the lion costume. You can do both. You get the whois didst perform in Pyramus and Thisbe as the XX character. The quests are not repeatable.

  • Is there a quest in the starting area? Lots of talk about Lysander/Hermia/Helena and their dad but no clear quest starter phrase)
*Yeah, I cannot get any quest to start with the lovers. There is a tree in the forest of arden where they meet but I cannot get anything to trigger.
*The sculptor phidias responds to "owl". It seems the owl should move but doesn't. The eyes and wings should move. Maybe something with the fairy wings?

  • Do Hippolyte/Duke Theseus respond to any quest starter prompts?
*Yes, the duke talks a lot about Tartarus and his buddy Pirithous who he left there and wishes he could go back. I'm pretty sure there is a quest here. There also is an item from the fae explorer at the court in arden where oberon is called the ensorcelled compass which is bondable and low rent I'm not sure how to get it to work.

  • Do Fearie king/queen respond to any quest starter prompts? The queen seems to be separated from the king because of the changeling prince. In the play, you can sleep near the queen so there is kind of a quest here if you sleep in the queen's room.

Group MSND: go to "A Private Box" in the theatre and "watch the play" Instance is 30 min
You will either be placed in the faerie court or in the human court. Whichever you start at you have allegiance to and must kill the other king and queen. If you kill your own king/queen you are ejected from the instance immediately without rewards.

Differences from Solo:

  • Queen Titania is not in her underground area like in Solo but is with King Oberon in his court
  • Puck is invis and joins the fight with the king and queen, causing mayhem and fleeing
  • King and Queen flee from the court and go to the "Ruins" halfway through
  • All the Fairies are hostile and attack on sight and are harder as well
  • Sitting in the fairy circle in the forest can sometimes remove debuffs, but can also give you a 8+ min disorientation debuff which is very troublesome in this area
  • Upon killing the king/queen at the ruins they drop a pile of treasure with a +30 hp earring (seems to be various versions) and the dweomer of fae enchantment
  • Upon killing the king/queen you get this message: "Duke Theseus and Queen Hippolyta tells you, "The regents of the fair folk have learned humility this day! All that remains is to chasten their subjects with cold iron!" This suggests there might be another quest for beating up fairies with iron rods?
