Name: Elderberry
History: The elderberry provided the wood for Christ's cross, and was the home
of the goddess Freya. As with many deity-associated herbs, it was believed to
ward off witches. For centuries it was added to cheap port to make it look and
taste more expensive, but it has cyanide-like byproducts. It has been used to
treat a variety of ailments.
Uses: BREW creates a protection from evil potion
POULTICE creates a cure light poultice
MAKE OIL creates a cure light oil
Safety: toxic if ingested (minor poison)
