Go to 'The Laibon's Hut' and ASK LAIBON MANA
At each step of the quest you will be asked to locate an item to preapre a pouch of power items, as well as increasing your mana permanently.
First you must obtain a fur pouch, anyone with the TAILOR skill can make one of these for you from any type of fur, fur must be obtained by anyone with the TANNING skill by skinning a furry animal corpse (not fur that drops). Return to the laibon and GIVE POUCH LAIBON, you must now wait for an in-game day before the next step.
Next he will ask you for 'a feather the color of the flowers that bloom on the thorn trees', this is a yellow feather and can be found on a Basket Weaver in Savanna or Macaw in Nazca, these birds load a random feather each time so keep trying, once you have one return to the laibon and GIVE FEATHER LAIBON, you receive a +1 mana increase, you must now wait for 12 in-game hours before the next step (must be logged in, possibly in character).
Next he will ask you for 'the angel of all plants' this is an angelica plant which can be found in most areas of the mud.
Return to the laibon and GIVE ANGELICA LAIBON, you receive a +2 mana increase, you must now wait for 12 in-game hours before the next step (must be logged in, possibly in character).
Next you will be asked for one of the following shells, they drop on random beaches in older areas (try greek islands)
- a shell shaped like a heart (cockle shell)
- a shell that looks like a fan (a scallop shell ~ Lotus island)
- a shell named for a bird (dove shell ~ Rocky Beach)
Note: right now you can simple ASK LAIBON MANA again to get a new random shell to find 15/05/2023
Return to the laibon and GIVE SHELL LAIBON, you receive a +3 mana increase, you must now wait for 12 in-game hours before the next step (must be logged in, possibly in character).
Next you will be asked for 'a stone the color of _____'
- the midnight sky (black gemstones)
a sliver of onyx, Ancient Tara - for directions search the MAHI spellword wiki
hematite, Medieval Alaska - 'In a Mountain Valley'
- the noon-day sun (yellow gemstones)

sparkling sapphire, Ancient Greece - from the Hermes +3 strength quest, only do this if you plan to do +3 strength via Camelot
- new leaves in the spring (green gemstones)
Some of these can be random drops on various mobs around the mud, I will try and update whenever I find new ones.
Note: right now you can simple ASK LAIBON MANA again to get a new random stone to find 14/05/2020
Return to the laibon and GIVE STONE LAIBON (or appropriate keyword for the stone/gem you were told to locate), you receive a +4 mana increase, you must now wait for 12 in-game hours before the next step (must be logged in, possibly in character).
And finally 'a ribbon the color of Kilimanjaro in the distance' - this is 'a sea-purple ribbon' from Nausicaa, who can be found in 'The Great Hall in the Palace of the Phaiakians' near Odysseus. KILL NAUSICAA and GET RIBBON CORPSE
You can get to her by visiting the Lotus Eaters Island, from 'The Docks of Ithaca' just go six east, north, west, west. Wait a moment, and then east to be transported to the correct area. When you have the ribbon find the servant and ASK SERVANT RETURN
Return to the laibon and GIVE RIBBON LAIBON, you receive a +5 mana increase.
The Laibon will now award you with a pouch of power items.
